4th of July Events in Oklahoma City v.2011

Oklahoma City 4th of July

Here are the major 4th of July activities going on this year in Oklahoma City:

Red White and Boom


Oklahoma City's downtown celebration. There will be fireworks on the 3rd and 4th this year. The Philharmonic will perform at 8:30 on the 3rd at the Coca Cola Events Center in Bricktown with fireworks following. Fireworks will be at approximately 10:00pm on the 4th following the baseball game. Admission is free

 

 

Edmond's Libertyfest


Libertyfest is actually a week long event ending on the 4th. The Libertyfest Parade in downtown Edmond begins on the 4th at 9:00 am. Fireworks begin at 10:00 pm and can best be viewed on the grounds of UCO, east of downtown Edmond.

Bethany's Freedom Festival


The Freedom Festival runs from June 30th to July 4th. On the 4th the parade begins at 10:00 am. The car show runs from 9:30 to 4:30 and one of the largest fireworks displays in the state begins at 9:55. The events are at Eldon Lyon Park, south of NW 39th Expressway between Rockwell and Council.

Yukon's Freedom Fest


The city of Yukon celebrates the nation's birthday with a huge Freedom Fest event. With free admission to all events, the celebration includes two nights of fireworks displays, outdoor evening concerts, kid's activities, a triathlon, volleyball tournament and more. On July 3rd there is a musical salute to veterans from 5:00 to 7:45, at 8:15 patriotic brass and fireworks at 10:00. On the 4th, from 5:00 to 7:30 is the Rodeo Opry, at 8:30 the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and fireworks at 10:00. Concerts are at the gazebo at Chisholm Trail Park and the July 4th events at Yukon City Park.

Midwest City's 4th of July Event


The Oklahoma City community of Midwest City celebrates the nation's birthday with a free annual event that features live music, park performers and fireworks display at dusk. The location is Joe B Barnes Regional Park near Reno and Midwest Blvd. Music is from 6:00 to 10:00 and fireworks afterwards.
